Dr. Shomaly is the co-founder and director of the Palestinian Center for Research and Cultural Dialogue (PCRD). He taught Chemistry at Bethlehem University in Bethlehem, Palestine, from 1990 to 2022. He earned his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Northeastern University in Boston. He has also served as the Director of Public Relations for the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion and hosted a weekly opinion and analysis program on Palestinian television from 2001 to 2004. In addition to his academic work and teaching, he is dedicated to training youth in conflict resolution, democracy, and human rights. He has presented at conferences throughout the Middle East and North Africa, as well as in Turkey, Germany, Canada, and the United States.
Dr. Shomaly speaks six languages and is deeply committed to international education. His latest book, “Israel from Idea to State: Will It Survive?” will be published in Arabic this month in Amman, Jordan.
