NEW: @andrewcuomo just conceded the Democratic primary for mayor of New York City to @ZohranKMamdani. Cuomo had universal name ID, a $25M PAC backing him and tons of institutional endorsements. Mamdani is a 33-year-old socialist. The magnitude of this can't be overstated.

BBC reports that any blocking of the Straits of Hormuz would have to be signed off by Iran’s National Security Council before it can happen. That sounds very democratic for a country which is supposed to be a tyranny, compared to say bypassing Congress to bomb a sovereign nation.
