YONKERS MONDAY VIGILS FOR RACIAL JUSTICE:
The Monday vigils resume on June 3rd at 5:30pm. We assemble at the corner of Odell & Warburton Avenues in Yonkers NY.
It’s been four years since George Floyd’s murder, and hundreds of innocent people have been murdered since…..
We stand up for racial justice in a silent vigil for nine minutes, and then say the names of some recent victims of police violence.

The killing of Tyre Nichols in January 2023 by Memphis Police Officers has reignited debates about police brutality in the United States. Between 2013 and 2023, over 1,000 people have been killed by police in every year. Some of the most infamous examples include the murder of George Floyd in May 2020, and the shooting of Breonna Taylor earlier that year. Within this time period, the most people killed by police in the United States was in 2023, at 1,340 people.
Join us this Monday, and especially join us for a larger outpouring of people on JUNE 17TH…. We are inviting local elected officials to join us BEFORE the all important primary election, and make their voices heard about crime, policing, mental illness responses, and what we can do to ensure public safety for ALL.
