Westchester County Airport Coalition

Please make a note that the Coalition will host an important double-event on Saturday, February 1st at the BelleFair Homeowner Association Community Room in Rye Brook, and we need your help to plan it successfully.
The Feb 1 event we are planning will have two sessions, tentatively organized as follows:
> Session 1 (11:00-12:30): Airport Matters … ‘for Dummies’
> Session 2 (1:00-3:00): Mobilizing for the 2020 Airport Master Plan
> Session 1 (11:00-12:30): Airport Matters … ‘for Dummies’
> Session 2 (1:00-3:00): Mobilizing for the 2020 Airport Master Plan
The Airport Matters information session is open to the public and will feature:
> a robust public Q&A period, featuring leading community and environmental advocates,
> a concise presentation aimed at familiarizing residents about the new year’s most impactful airport-related issues — plus what’s being overlooked,
> key factors at the airport that shape our concerns and what can be done about them,
> discussion about how regular people leading busy lives can still make a difference in protecting ourselves and our communities.
The Airport Master Plan Mobilization session:
> is open to Coalition supporters by invitation as well as representatives from impacted communities and groups.
> will focus on how to ensure robust public input and influence over the County’s development of a new Master Plan this year.
Unlike with prior Master Plans, this version’s public input process will begin soon and presents us with a unique opportunity to shape airport policy for years to come, but also some risk if enough of us don’t speak out loud and clear.
