Dear WESPAC family,
We had a great discussion of Susan Abulhawa’s Mornings in Jenin (upcoming book event with the author Saturday, May 12 at 4 p.m. at the WESPAC office).
So several of us thought it would be great to continue by choosing and discussing another
book. We invite you to join us in discussing Naomi Klein’s new
book No is Not Enough https://www.noisnotenough.org/. We would like to meet on
Tuesday, May 3 at 7 p.m. at the WESPAC office. We’ll try to send out some questions to consider for discussion in advance.
Please let us know if you’d like to join us. We’d love to have you. (RSVP to
[email protected])
About the book:
It’s a 237 page book widely available in every format through online sellers, the Westchester Library System, and at local bookstores (Village Bookstore in Pleasantville is carrying it, most others will order it and get it within a day.)
The book was The Nation’s book of the month. Here are some comments from their website:
“It is not enough, she [Klein] tells us, to merely resist, to say “no.” Our historical moment demands more: a credible and inspiring “yes,” a roadmap to reclaiming the populist ground from those who would divide us – one that sets a bold course for winning the fair and caring world we want and need.
This timely, urgent book from one of our most influential thinkers offers a bracing positive shock of its own, helping us understand just how we got here, and how we can, collectively, come together and heal.”
