Climate change weaves through our daily
lives, from global politics and business
to sea levels and weather to the clothes
we wear and the food we eat. The
catastrophic Australian bushfires are just
the latest example of the dire, world-wide
consequences of our changing climate. To
address these critical issues, the Climate
Justice theme of this year’s Solidarity Fair
reflects our heritage and biblical mandate –
Tikkun Olam, to repair the world.
Representatives from grassroots, local and
national organizations such as HIAS, the
Workers Circle and Jews for Racial and
Economic Justice (JFREJ) will share their information and answer questions about their work for
climate justice, social justice and human rights.
A panel of local experts, including leaders from Hazon, WESPAC, The New Rochelle Green Initiative,
New York Renews and Sustainable Westchester, will provide up-to-date information on how their
organizations are addressing climate change/justice in Westchester and what we can do.
Join us! RSVP to Howard Horowitz at [email protected] or
Len Stein at [email protected], or call the Temple Office at (914) 235-1800.
