Racism Today: Unpacking the Myth of the North/South Divide – Come to the FREE 32nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Commemorative Program on January 13, 2019 at Hommocks Auditorium from 2pm to 3:30pm. Engage in a robust and interactive conversation about the historical and current geography of racism in the US. John Beiwan (Duke University) and Dr. Chenjerai Kumanyika (Rutgers University), a nationally renowned podcast team, will co-present and lead Q & A. This event is free and open to the public. Reserve your seats in advance. 2019 Event Honoree: Shannon Turner-Porter, Mamaroneck High School Teacher. Event is hosted by the Larchmont Mamaroneck Human Rights Committee in partnership with the Mamaroneck School District and sponsored by CURE (the Coalition for Undoing Racism through Education).
