Think global, act local! While we are working to shut down the incinerator in our corner of the world we are part of a much larger fight to end waste that hurts our health and our planet.
THIS WEDNESDAY at 7:30pm on Zoom come learn about how our work with WASS here in Westchester fits into the statewide, nationwide, and global efforts to end incineration, move communities to Zero Waste, end plastic pollution, and promote environmental justice.
We’ll be joined by former Peekskill resident Michael Shank, Managing Director at Beyond Plastics. He will share his global perspective and his work to end plastic pollution.
We’ll also her from Anne Rabe, Environmental Policy Director at New York Public Interest Group (NYPIRG), to learn about her work throughout New York State to reduce solid waste and the growing coalition Zero Waste New York.
