The Saving Greenburgh Coalition Community Meeting

Fellow Greenburgh Resident,
As you have heard, the hamlet of Edgemont is pushing forward with their effort to incorporate as a village. Senator Stewart Cousins passed legislation to create a Village Incorporation Commission that would oversee an incorporation effort. This move is good, HOWEVER, she specifically exempted the Edgemont effort from the new process!
A second bill written by Senator Skoukis was also passed. His bill would require the posting of a financial impact analysis prior to having a vote on the referendum.
We are now trying to get both bills sent to the Governor for signature, asking that she intervene to remove the exemption for Edgemont.
With this goal in mind, we are having another Community Meeting to discuss the current status of the incorporation, the legislative efforts, and how incorporation would impact you.
