The Hudson, A River at Risk

March 28, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Despite decades of clean-up, the Hudson River is still at risk from dirty energy projects.

Join us for a special screening of Jon Bowermaster’s film The Hudson, A River at Risk, a powerful look at the impacts of dangerous fossil fuels on the river — including oil-carrying barges, the Spectra AIM fracked-gas pipeline under the river, dangerously close to the Indian Point nuclear plant, and the proposed Pilgrim Pipelines that would carry volatile crude oil between Albany and New Jersey.

The free film screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmaker and a conversation about current campaigns to protect the river and our region.

What: The Hudson, A River at Risk: Free Film Screening and Discussion with filmmaker Jon Bowermaster
When: Tuesday, March 28, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Where: Ethical Culture Society of Westchester, 7 Saxon Wood Road, White Plains, NY 10605

RSVP to reserve your seat.

I hope you can join us to watch the film, learn about the risks threatening our communities and climate, and take action to make New York a truly frack-free state!
