Service of Trans Joy and Resilience via Cathedral of St. John the Divine – March 29

March 29 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Hi all,

Sending this to leaders in the faith community and friends in Westchester and more broadly who I think have interests in supporting diversity and inclusion within our houses of worship or for awareness in the broader context and who might enjoy this service and at a time where marginalized populations are under strain societally, or simply to know that this is going to be going on. This is a worship service celebrating the transgender community to be held at the historic, massive Cathedral of St. John the Divine on March 29 and on livestream. Link down below.

I was sent the listing by an administrator in the downstate New York regional office of the Episcopal Church, copied here, from a great friend and colleague of mine who used to work at a Westchester based nonprofit that some of you may know called Volunteer New York!, and individually whom some of you might actually know already too, a terrific leader at all levels and especially in youth programs, Judy Douglas and for those of you who also are involved in the aging place movement where she has been a big supporter and resource base. Judy has been known to pop up at different houses of worship in Westchester to say hi, both for meetings and for worship, with her great big contagious smile. Thanks to Judy for her unfailing inspirational work all across the area.

For those of you on this little group who are Episcopalian, I think your denomination is doing such a great job in this continuing civil rights season! Thank you!

Best to all, and maybe we will cross paths around there or somewhere else similarly,

Rob Wingate
