REDISTRICTING
New York now has an Independent Redistricting Committee (IRC) to re-draw district lines after the 2020 US Census. The lines they draw will be in place for the next 10 years. The IRC is seeking public comment and concerns about how the new lines should be drawn.
New York State will lose one congressional district due to the 2020 US Census. How will the new districts be drawn?
Our NYS Senatorial districts will likely be re-configured- especially SD 38 (Elijah Reichlin-Melnick) and SD 40 (Pete Harckham).
