Reality of Climate Change

July 10, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Topic:  The Reality of Climate Change & What We Can Do About It

Details:  Is climate change real or part of a natural cycle?  What can
we do locally?  Al Gore’s Climate Reality presentation focuses on the
impacts seen already around the world in extreme weather, as well as
answering specific arguments against climate change.  The presentation
will also include some of the larger policy solutions and what you can
at home and at work.  We’ll discuss some specific ways you can get
involved locally on climate change, including Sierra Club’s “Turn,
Don’t Burn” initiative.  A lifelong environmental advocate and
Co-Leader of Rockland Sierra Club, Peggy Kurtz was trained last summer
by Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project.
