EVENT: Rally to save the Hudson River

WESPAC recently signed onto a letter to Governor Hochul urging Gov. Hochul to stop Holtec International, the organization responsible for decommissioning the Indian Point Energy Center power plant, from dumping tons of radioactive waste into the Hudson River. Food & Water Watch, one of the many organizations who signed onto this letter, has reached out with an event which you can attend to demonstrate your support.
On Saturday, May 6th, from 2-6PM, you can rally to save the river! This event will take place at the Cortlandt Waterfront Park in Verplanck. More information can be found here:
This rally will feature many events, from performances by musicians like Dar Williams and Tom Chapin, children’s activities, and even boating activities like kayaking!
(For those interested in kayaking and are experienced kayakers, please try to bring your own boats so everyone has enough. Otherwise, kayaks and small boats may be provided.)
