Dear friends,
Next Monday, April 7th, join the Release Aging People in Prison Campaign (RAPP), a statewide grassroots collective, for a rally in NYC to demand Governor Hochul expansively use her executive clemency powers to reunite families NOW! State prisons are killing people. The brutal lynchings of Robert Brooks and Messiah Nantwi are two horrific examples of a system of routine, racist, and too often deadly violence by prison guards, to which no one should ever be subject. Meanwhile, countless people in prison have turned their lives around and are eager to return to their communities to give back and help others. Gov. Hochul has the power to make that happen.
