Protect In-Person Visits Advocacy Day
Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in Albany
Please join our Rally at 11am
4th floor, State Capitol Building, Senate Lobby
Please join our rally in Albany to urge lawmakers to protect visits at New York’s prisons and jails from being replaced with video calls. This is an alarming trend happening in jails across the country who are enticed by predatory video conferencing companies to reduce visiting hours to make money off of families who are forced to pay for video calls.
Passing the Protect In-Person Visits bill (A4603/S5037) would require NY’s prisons and jails to offer evening and/or weekend visiting hours, and protect in-person visiting hours from being replaced with video calls.
If you would like to join meetings with lawmakers or need transportation from Brooklyn or Suffolk County, please RSVP by Friday.

Apologies for any cross-postings.
Thanks,
