Please support rally at Bedford Women’s Prison

On Tuesday, RAPP, New Hour Long Island, Women 2 Women, HALT and the Women & Justice Project, as a part of the People’s Campaign for Parole Justice, are hosting a Women’s History Month Rally & Virtual Press Conference at Bedford Correctional Facility on Tuesday, March 9th at 11:30 am. 

We’ll be keeping the in person action to a small-ish group but encourage community members, especially those from the Bedford area, to attend and show support for the women inside. 

We’ll be highlighting the parole bills as well calling for DOCCS and the Bedford Superintendent to distribute vaccinations, restore programs such as the visiting program, the Chaplins and the college education program, as well as invest more in quality mental health services for the women. 

Any questions feel free to ask! A group of us will be meeting Tuesday morning at 10:45 am at the Bedford station and will walk/drive over to the facility.
