Title: Westchester on the Front Line: Pipeline to Disaster
Details: A new 42 inch diameter, high pressure gas pipeline is now operational within105 feet of critical emergency structures vital to the Indian Point nuclear power plant. The anticipated closure of the plant in 2021 leaves 45 years worth of highly radioactive nuclear waste stored indefinitely on site. How do these multiple hazards threaten our communities and over 20 million people within the impact radius of the plant:? Ask the experts; Paul Blanch, Dr. Paul Moskowitz, and Ellen Weininger! Co-sponsored by the GNC.
Refreshments by Greenburgh Nature Center at 7:00, program starts at 7:30.
Best wishes for a happy, healthy New Year.
