Happy Monday and New Year! Hoping you all had a restful holiday season and are ready to help us pass Parole Justice in 2025.
Below you’ll find ways to get involved with RAPP over the next few weeks:
People’s Campaign for Parole Justice 1st 2025 Advocacy Day
On Tuesday, January 28, the People’s Campaign for Parole Justice, a statewide grassroots coalition, will hold our first Parole Justice advocacy day of the new year at the New York State Capitol in Albany. RSVP here and flyer attached. Food and transportation will be provided.
Parole Justice Albany Days in January & February!
In addition to our big advocacy day on 1/28, RAPP will be in Albany once a week over the next few weeks. During these days in Albany, we’ll be doing more targeted advocacy with more 1:1 time with legislators in smaller groups. Please RSVP here if you’d like to join any of these days.
Take Action! Justice for Robert Brooks!
In the wake of the brutal killing of Robert Brooks at Marcy Correctional Facility, RAPP and other orgs are calling for the passage of various legislations including the full Justice Roadmap to further reduce the number of people subjected to, and harms suffered in, prison, jail, and immigration and forensic detention.
