Dr. Davidson is a retired professor of History from West Chester University, West Chester, PA. His academic research focused on the history of American foreign relations with the Middle East. He is the author of several articles and books on the Middle East, including Islamic Fundamentalism: An Introduction (Third Edition, 2013); Cultural Genocide (Genocide, Political Violence, Human Rights (2012); with Arthur Goldschmidt, Jr., A Concise History of the Middle East (Tenth Edition, 2012), probably the most widely used textbook on Middle East history in the United States, and America’s Palestine: Popular and Official Perceptions from Balfour to Israeli Statehood (2001).
