OPEN HOUSE on AIRPORT NOISE with the
FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION on WEDNESDAY 1/22/2020
Unique opportunity to address Airport Noise, Impacts, and Air Traffic Procedures
Westchester County has arranged a rare open house with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regarding Westchester County Airport to be held from 6-8 PM this coming Wednesday, January 22nd. The event is aimed at all area residents and will be held at the New Castle Community Center on 10 Senter Street in Chappaqua. This is a unique opportunity for our Coalition to show the FAA and County how much we and our neighbors care about the future of airport operations.
The open house will include participation from HMMH, a consultant which has just completed a new and concerning airport noise study. It will not be a public hearing with speakers. According to the County, you will be able to meet with FAA, HMMH, and airport officials to share views and become more informed. Attendance may well influence how much attention our airport concerns receive going forward. Let’s pack the hall!
County Executive George Latimer requested the FAA open house At the urging of groups including our Coalition and the Town of New Castle with the support of US Senator Charles Schumer, US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and US Congresswoman Nita Lowey.
