  • The People’s Plan (TPP) is organizing a multi-issue protest at Mayor Eric Adams’ State of the City address on Thursday, January 9 at 11 AM. They need your voice and presence to demand better for New York City— and more funding for education and public services, housing justice, real police and criminal justice reform, and leadership that puts the needs of the people first. RSVP as an organization here. RSVP as an individual here.

  • Inter Faith Center of New York is organizing a “Day of Prayer & Action in Support of Immigrant Families”. Join an in-person faith leader action to support immigrant families facing the threat of mass deportations in Newark, NJ (location TBA) on January 13 at 12 PM. RSVP here.

    • The Second Annual NY Renews Climate State of the State Press Conference is on January 13 at 11 AM. Join state legislators and the statewide 370-member NY Renews coalition for the second annual Climate State of the State Press Conference. At the press conference, legislators and community speakers will share remarks on the kick-off of the Fund Climate Campaign. RSVP here.

    • A statewide fund climate mobilization and lobby day on January 22 to address climate crises through community-led solutions. The Fund Climate Campaign advocates for energy affordability, housing repairs, and a Community Directed Grant program to support local clean energy projects by organizations, unions, and municipalities. RSVP here.

  • Legal Action Center needs you to call your members of Congress today to urge them to protect Medicaid from harmful cuts. Leaders of the incoming Congress are currently discussing critical decisions on Medicaid funding for the new year, including whether to impose harmful cuts and restrictions. Call (202) 224-3121 now to urge your representatives to oppose any cuts to Medicaid! See the sample call script here.
