Title: Moving Beyond the Automobile
Date: Wednesday, January 14, 2015 – 7:00pm
Details: How much time each day do you spend in your car and caught in traffic? What is the effect of all that driving time on your health and well-being? What would our cities and neighborhoods look like if driving in cars were not our primary mode of transportation? How might air quality, noise levels, social interactions and our health be affected if we did more walking, biking, and shared transit? This set of short films shows how cities all over the world are re-thinking transportation and re-structuring roads and transit systems to reduce how much time we spend in cars. Discussion to follow films. Refreshments by Sierra Club at 7:00, program starts at 7:30.
Location: Greenburgh Nature Center, 99 Dromore Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583. This is a handicapped-accessible location.
