Letter writing for Political Prisoner Herman Bell
Join us in supporting the parole effort for Herman Bell, former Black Panther who has been in prison in New York State for 42 years.

Who: You and your friends & family. Bring a snack to share, if possible. We will have information about the prisoners as well as all of the letter-writing materials.
Political prisoner Herman Bell is coming up for parole again next month in February 2016. We want to send some more letters to the parole board to encourage them to grant parole for Herman. Herman is an Elder, a mentor, a father, a scholar, a coach, and a former Black Panther who was active in the movement for Black Liberation. He has been in prison for 42 years.
Herman is also the inspiration and one of the advisers of the Victory Bus Project, founded by local activist Jalal Sabur.
Herman has been denied parole 6 times despite his productive time behind bars that has resulted in him receiving two Bachelors of Science degrees and even a Masters degree. In addition to writing to the parole board, we will write directly to Herman and other political prisoners.
