Frankel at 50: A Half-Century’s Perspective on “Criminal Sentences: Law Without Order”

2023 marks 50 years since the publication of Judge Marvin Frankel’s historic book, Law Without Order, which ushered in an era of sentencing reform. CCJ has partnered with the New York City Bar AssociationFederal Sentencing Reporter, and The Ohio State University to host a one-day symposium to reflect on the profound impact and enduring legacy of Frankel’s sentencing contribution – and discuss the lessons learned and consequences from five decades of structured sentencing. Join 200 judges, attorneys, and experts from the legal, academic, advocacy, and research fields for this full-day event.
