February 4th Albany Action for NY HEAT!

February 4 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Happy New Year!

I am reaching out because we are approaching that time again to head to Albany to lobby and rally for climate justice, so mark your calendars!

On Tuesday, February 4th New Yorkers across the state will be sending a HUGE message to lawmakers, right at the peak of budget negotiations, demanding that NY HEAT is in the 2025 budget.  We need you there to make it happen.

The NY HEAT Act will:

  • CUT COSTS to New York families by limiting energy bills to 6% of household income
  • & STOP FRACKED GAS PIPELINES by ending irresponsible utility spending on fossil fuels.

We had a really eye opening Fall in the Hudson Valley. The severe climate-related drought and forest fires were unlike anything we’ve seen before, and it’s only going to get worse if our lawmakers fail to act.

We must stop burning fossil fuels and pass NY HEAT.  We know that we will not be able to look to the federal government for climate action.  New York lawmakers will have to step up, which we know is possible if we hold their feet to the fire.

That is why the Hudson Valley is going to have a big presence this year at our NY HEAT lobby day and rally in Albany!

We have a bus that will be making two stops, one in Northern Westchester at the Croton-Harmon Train Station parking lot and another at the Kingston Park & Ride.

  1. Sign up to secure a spot on the bus! Register here
  2. Share this info with local orgs, friends, neighbors, and anyone else you know.

Let’s make this lobby day bigger than ever!

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions: [email protected].
