EQUITY IN EDUCATION  What Does That Mean? DECEMBER 28th, 5:00-6:00 PM.      CURE is honored to engage in a conversation with experts in Educational Equity, Congressman Elect Jamaal Bowman & Dr. Rosa Rivera-McCutchen, Associate Professor of Education Leadership, CUNY Lehman College.    Given the recent launch of our own district’s Diversity Equity Team, the timing of this talk is truly relevant to everyone in our towns and beyond!  Hearing from these experts is a major opportunity as we embark on our own journey toward a more Culturally Conscious Education.   Why are school districts creating Diversity and Equity Teams?  Why does Equity matter?  How does Equity benefit ALL students?
