Blank Slate is a public art intervention to demand that the United Nations take action to ban autonomous weapons of war. We must begin anew our relationship with robotics and use their proliferation for good, ending the death, destruction and intimidation they so often cause.
Brought to you by the artist who shocked New York City once before with the Drones Zones and Drone Champaign street art interventions, and inspired a national discourse on the use of armed drones around the world. Join ESSAM, Veterans for Peace, Know Drones and a coalition of humanitarians and veterans in the creation of a truly transformative work of performance art and civil disobedience. We envision a future where the world is safe for us, our children, and generations to come. Help us make that a reality.
Together we will stand tall, men, women and children, on a march to the United Nations where we will surround a 25-foot inflatable replica of a killer U.S. drone and, on cue, fall to the ground, representing those killed in U.S. drone strikes.
This intervention will be filmed and all participants will receive a copy for personal use.
This is a peaceful, non violent intervention in public space and we need YOUR help to make it happen.
