We invite you to join us for a meaningful discussion of the school-to-prison pipeline and the significance of implementing abolitionist principles in both our educational institutions and healthcare systems. This discussion will highlight the pivotal role of a single-payer healthcare system in allocating resources to benefit our youth. The forum will feature a panel of youth organizers and healthcare professionals who will examine the current state of criminalization in schools and medical environments and its impact on the well-being of our young people. Subsequently, we will have breakout sessions where attendees can actively participate in initiatives supporting the work of NWBCCC and SBU.

Join us on this Tuesday, October 17th at 6pm!

This forum is strategically timed to coincide with the National Week of Action Against School Pushout (10/14/23-10/22/23) as part of the Dignity in Schools Campaign. During this period, members of the Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC) across the nation are organizing a series of events, teach-ins, rallies, protests, and workshops. These activities aim to draw attention to the ongoing and detrimental consequences of school policing and strict disciplinary policies. For more information about the Dignity in Schools Campaign and the week of action, please visit this link.
