DEC. 12 – DRONE WAR PROTEST AT THE OFFICE OF CONG. NITA LOWEY ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE YEMEN WEDDING PARTY DRONE MASSACRE
Please join us on Friday, Dec. 12 from noon to 1 pm at the office of Congresswoman Nita Lowey, 222 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, NY, to mark the first anniversary of the US drone massacre of at least 12 people in a Yemeni wedding party and to protest continued Congressional support for US drone attacks and surveillance now underway in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Iraq, Syria and Libya. The protest will also call for a halt to the US air war in Syria and Iraq and a complete withdrawal of US forces from the region.
A request has been made to meet with Congresswoman Lowey or a member of her staff at some time during the protest to respond to the attached letter, that points out that she received $95,200 in campaign contributions from military industrialists for her recent reelection bid and asks her to explain why she accepted the money and what she thinks the corporate leaders expect in return.
