Dear WESPAC Family…hope to see you this Saturday evening! Please pass along the invitation below!

The Student Farmworker Alliance (SFA) is a national network of students and young people organizing with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers to uproot exploitation in the fields and build a food system based on justice, respect and dignity for farmworkers. We are so excited to have the SFA steering committee present at Stony Point Center.  Come hear more about their story, the latest updates on the national Wendy’s Boycott, and a vision of the work we can do together

The Community of Living Traditions at Stony Point Center is a multifaith, intentional community of Muslims, Jews, and Christians, dedicated to the study and practice of hospitality, nonviolence, peace, justice, and earthcare.  We are joined this summer by young adults participating in Farm the Land, Grow the Spirit: A Multifaith Peace, Justice and Earthcare Program.  As June 25th falls during the month of Ramadan, the community dinner will be an Iftar, the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset.

Come one, come all! We will gather at 7 p.m. for a forum on the work of SFA.  The Iftar dinner will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the Evergreen Dining Hall. Potluck style donations are welcome, but optional. A farm-fresh vegan dish will be provided by Community of Living Traditions farmers and cooks.  A sliding scale donation will be taken up for the work of SFA.  No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Stony Point Center is located at 17 Cricketown Rd., Stony Point, NY 10980
