Birds and the Bees Protection Act Rally and Phone Rally

Here are some advocacy opportunities next week to generate some buzz around the Birds and the Bees Protection Act to encourage Governor Hochul to sign the bill:
- 11/15 NYC Rally! – We’ll be holding a small rally outside the Governor’s Manhattan office next Wednesday (11/15) at 11:00. All the relevant information is at registration page and also attached and below. Please feel free to distribute the registration link to your networks, and also to let us know if you (or anyone you know) might be attending. The event won’t take long (likely ~30-40 min) and should be fun (bee scarves/costumes, signs, postcards, etc.). We’d love to see you there!
- Phone Relay for 11/15! – We are also organizing a “phone relay” next Wednesday to generate calls going into the Governor’s office. Participation in the phone relay takes no more than 5 minutes and can be done from anywhere. Instructions on how to participate are all on the phone relay sign-up form. We know it makes a big difference, so please consider signing up for a 5 min slot!
Birds and Bees Rally Info:
Date: Wednesday, November 15
Place: Office of the Governor of the State of New York, 633 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10017 (close to 41st and 3rd in Manhattan). The event will take place on the sidewalk outside the office.
Time: The event will officially begin at 11:00 AM, but for those who can make it, we hope to start gathering at 10:40 AM.
Description: There will be a rally/press event in front of Governor Hochul’s New York City office to demand the Governor sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act—a bill that would eliminate needless sources of toxic neonic pesticide pollution responsible for decimating New York’s bees and birds, extensively polluting its water, and threatening the health of its people, especially children.
