Batik Workshop to support People of Yemen

Learn traditional Japanese resist dyeing techniques from WESPAC student intern Tali (Ossining high school student) and make a set of Furoshiki to take home with you (Furoshiki is a wrapping cloth to carry presents & belongings. Alternatively used as a scarf).
Fabrics provided. You are welcome to bring your own, too.
Fabrics can be cotton, linen, silk, hemp, bamboo.

When – Monday, November 5th, 6-7pm workshop
7:30pm:  Summer Nasser, Executive Director of Yemen Aid will speak about current situation in Yemen.  Batik art work will be available for sale ($20 to $75 range).  All proceeds go to Yemen Aid
Where –WESPAC: 77 Tarrytown Rd, Ste 2W (upper level) White Plains, NY 10607.  Free parking on site.
Cost – $15 requested per person ($10 for students)
Attire – Please wear old clothes
Please RSVP to [email protected].  Limited seats available for the workshop.  The 7:30pm presentation by Summer Nasser is free and open to the public.
