Meet David Billings, Author of “Deep Denial: The Persistence of White Supremacy in United States History and Life”, Friday June 22 at 7:30pm.
“Deep Denial,” part popular history and part personal memoir, documents the 400-year racialization of the United States and how people of European descent came to be called white. Author David Billings focuses primarily on the deeply embedded notion of white supremacy, and tells us why, despite the Civil Rights Movement and an African-American president, we remain a nation hard-wired by race.
David Billings will lead a discussion about his book on June 22 from 7:30 to 9pm at WESPAC Foundation (address: 77 Tarrytown Rd., Suite 2W), White Plains NY 10607). Located on the upper level of 77 Tarrytown Rd also known as Route 119. Free parking on site, half mile from the White Plains Train Station. For more information, please contact Sandy Bernabei at [email protected]. This event is free and open to the public.
