Alternatives to Violence Workshop

August 19, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - August 21, 2016 @ 8:30 pm

After the massacres of the last weeks we certainly need to focus on Alternatives to Violence. These mass shootings, whether it is in Orlando, FL or in Sandy Hook, CT. are usually the result of someone who is angry and hanging onto a grudge. AVP is designed to help people deal with their anger and let go of their grudges.

The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) is seeking people who are interested in becoming conflict resolution workshop facilitators. Becoming an AVP facilitator involves just taking three weekend workshops.

Just begin by taking the

AVP Basic Conflict Resolution Workshop

on August 19-21 at Purchase Meetinghouse in Westchester County

The AVP Basic Workshop improves conflict resolution skills through:

  • Affirmation and Self Esteem
  • Communication Skills
  • Cooperation and Teamwork
  • Creative Conflict Resolution
  • Values Clarification

Schedule –The workshop schedule will be Friday evening 7:00 to 10:00, Saturday 9:00 to 8:30 and Sunday 1:00 to 8:30. Meals are included for Saturday lunch and supper and Sunday supper.
