Airport Information:Airport Noise Study Results Unveiled
Wed. October 23rd, 7:00p.m. at the Westchester County Airport (free parking)
Coalition supporters are urged to come out to the Westchester County Airport Advisory Board meeting on Wednesday, October 23rd at 7:00p.m. to receive the results of the County’s airport noise study. Residents will be able to speak on this subject as well, which is #1 on the agenda. The County Airport Advisory Board meets at the airport terminal on the 2nd floor and visitor parking validation is provided. Let’s let the County know how we feel and what we want to happen next.
And please spread the word to your friends and neighbors.
Background: the County hired HMMH in April as consultants to conduct a study that would:
- assess noise exposure related to the County airport
- review the aircraft noise complaint management program
- assess the effectiveness of noise monitoring equipment in communities around the airport
- recommend potential improvements to address community concerns
As always, it matters who the County sees coming out to events like this.
Note – space is limited in the meeting room so plan to arrive early. If we overflow, so be it. The County will still feel the impact of a large turnout and the meeting video will be posted online within a few days (the result of urgings by those on the Advisory Board who are members of our Coalition).

We apologize for suspending our newsletters and blogs. We do want to keep you informed and there is so much to tell as the past weeks have actually been very busy and fruitful ones for the Coalition.
