Yonkers, NY – The Yonkers community has been gathering in
Unity and solidarity since the tragic murder of George Floyd over 4 years ago. We have been standing up consistently on Mondays since May 2020 to honor the victims of racial injustice and police violence. As part of our ongoing commitment to racial justice and equity, we invite the community to JOIN US ON JUNE 17 TH for a powerful vigil to SAY THE NAMES of some of those killed and to stand together against police violence.

DATE: MONDAY, JUNE 17 TH , 2024
TIME: 5:30pm – 6:00pm
LOCATION: Hudson Fulton Park, corner of Odell
& Warburton Yonkers, NY

The vigil will feature local leaders and activists who will come
together to reaffirm our stance that no one is above the law. We
need accountability for police who violate their oath to protect.
Our goal is to foster a safe, inclusive space where voices can be
heard and where we can collectively demand justice and systemic
change.

JOIN US as we:

 Say Their Names: Honor the victims of racial injustice &
police violence!
o JARRELL GARRIS – JULY 2023 New Rochelle NY
o SEAN HARRIS – MAY 2023 Nyack NY
o JONATHAN MALDONADO – NOV. 2017 Greenburgh
NY
o WIN ROZARIO – March 2024 Queens, NY
 Stand silent for 9 minutes to honor George Floyd
 Demand Accountability: Call for system change to prevent
further violence and injustice!
We believe that by coming together, we can amplify our message
and drive meaningful change in our community and beyond. Your
presence and support are vital to this movement.

“Silence can never be our response to injustice – we
must continue to ‘Say Their Names’”.
