Food Justice and Community Gardening with the Kiwanis of Mount Vernon

The officers of Mount Vernon Kiwanis are pleased to announce the first “Program Meeting” of 2020 on Wednesday March 4 at 6:30 pm at Burke’s Restaurant.

 

The program will feature representatives of WESPAC Foundation and community partners who will answer questions about resources available to Mount Vernon Kiwanis and its sponsored Key Club members interested in learning more about sustainable and nourishing food sourcing, soil health and wellness, and community gardening.  This is one of the Key Club’s “signature project goals” this year.

 

This is an opportunity to share Kiwanis fellowship by inviting guests and prospective new members, demonstrate our support for youth and their future, and fulfill the Kiwanis Mission to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive.
