RALLY & PRESS CONFERENCE IN SUPPORT OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY We are organizing local people to turn out to a geothermal energy rally in Albany on the steps of the Million Dollar Staircase. The purpose of the rally is to accelerate the adoption of ground-source (geothermal) and air-source heat pumps in New York State to reduce the amount of fossil fuels used to heat and cool homes and
workplaces. We want to educate the public about heat pumps and also advocate for New York State policies that will enable all New Yorkers to afford to make the switch to these renewable-ready heating and cooling technologies.
There will be an INFORMATION SESSION on November 27th at 7:00pm to prepare attendees for the event which you can join by phone or computer. If you would like to join us and need a carpool you can find rides here or you can get on a bus from Croton on Hudson.
You can TAKE ACTION NOW by signing these two petitions that we will be delivering to Governor Cuomo’s office on December 6th. They are the Petition for Affordable Renewable Heat in NY and the Petition to Stop the Sheridan Hollow Fracked Gas Power Plant.
