Zero waste is a fast, inexpensive, and effective strategy to protect the climate. This engaging documentary follows the successful efforts of San Francisco, which leads the nation in zero waste through a combination of recycling, repurposing, composting to recycle organics back into the earth, and changing production and consumption patterns. Racing to Zero provides a blueprint of solutions and innovations with the guidance of various experts for communities across the country.
Anna Giordano, Executive Director of We Future Cycle and Michelle Sterling and Ron Schulhof of the Scarsdale Sustainability Committee, who have been successfully spearheading local zero waste efforts in schools, businesses, houses of worship and communities, will be joining the discussion following the film and will provide practical resources and solutions.
