On Monday, Feb. 29, Governor Cuomo publicly announced that he sent a letter to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) asking for a halt to construction of the Spectra AIM pipeline while his administration commences an independent safety risk analysis of the siting of the Spectra AIM pipeline at Indian Point. Our local and state legislators will be signing a letter to FERC at this press conference calling for an immediate halt to construction of the Spectra AIM pipeline.
Elected officials attending include: Assemblywoman Galef, Assemblyman Buchwald, Supervisor Puglisi, Mayor Knickerbocker and others. Please bring SAPE signs and positive signs about renewable energy. Please do not wear costumes or masks. This is a peaceful assembly.
