On Tuesday, July 22 we will be meeting at Peter Schmidt’s home at Dancing Dog Farm in Ridgefield, CT.

Potluck will begin around
6:00followed by a discussion, and we will see about ending around
8:00.
If you can please bring a dish or something to share and your own utensils (as I don’t know if the hosts will have enough utensils for everyone).
The focus of our discussion will be on soil health and the connection between soil, plants, food and people. If you have a soil test from your farm or garden please bring it to the meeting, as we will use those to discuss the basics of soil chemistry and agricultural practices that influence a soils integrity.
Good food begins with a farmers ability to preserve the inherent fertility of the soil. At the meeting we will talk about what we can do as consumers and growers to take care with the soil, and eat and grow healthy food.
