The atomic bomb and meltdowns like Fukushima have made nuclear power synonymous with global disaster, but Pandora’s Promise asks whether the one technology we fear most could save our planet from a climate catastrophe. Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Robert Stone tells the intensely personal stories of environmentalists and energy experts who have undergone a radical conversion from being fiercely anti to strongly pro-nuclear energy, risking their careers and reputations in the process.

Stone will discuss the issues raised in the film with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Riverkeeper’s Vice Chairman and Chief Prosecuting Attorney, President of Waterkeeper Alliance and Clinical Professor and Supervising Attorney at Pace University School of Law’s Environmental Litigation Clinic; and moderator Andrew Revkin, senior fellow at Pace University’s Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies and author of Dot Earth, the NY Times blog about climate change, the environment, and sustainability.

The cost is $15 for non-members, $10 for members of the Jacob Burns Film Center.
