Beauty in the Community:

The Art of Resistance in Palestine

Art is a powerful medium for building community. Join Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb for a presentation and conversation about Palestinian refugees and the art of resistance.  She recently returned from a month in the Balata Refugee Camp near Nablus, where she led a delegation of artists sponsored by the Fellowship of Reconciliation to work with the Women's Programme Center. Together they created several murals. Gottlieb will share what she learned about the current situation, including perspectives on prison, occupation, women's role in the community of Balata, the UN vote on Palestine, and experiences criss-crossing borders.

This event is free and open to the public.
