1. Campaign Manager

Our campaign is looking to hire a full-time campaign manager to support a
female Democratic candidate for the New York State Assembly.
The primary will be on September 14 and the general election will be in
November.
This is a paying position at $5,000 per month depending on experience.
Expectations:
We are looking for someone who will be able to devote 40+ hours per week.
Tasks:
The campaign manager will be the executive of the campaign and be in charge
of all aspects of the campaign:
HIring and Staffing
Organizational management
Messaging
Scheduling
Public relations
Media relations
Managing the speech writers
Phone banking
Door-to-door campaigning
Campaign events such as fundraisers, rallies, parades, etc
Voter outreach
Data input
Media coverage reports
Twitter, Facebook and other social networking duties
Legislative research
Qualifications:
We are willing to consider various levels of experience, but some hands-on
experience is a pre-requisite.

2. About the article called “What do we know about West’s unemployed:”

I do suggest that people register with the One Stop. Even though it is a
hassle, they do have resources such as computers, people to help with
resumes, mock interviews. The One Stop also has a log of available jobs and
can help a person set up contact with the jobs that are on their list. It
does seem like the number of jobs coming out of the One Stop has increased
in the last 2 weeks.

I also wonder if the One Stops’ statistics are being used to identify the
number of unemployed engaged in looking.

3. DO PASS THIS ON TO OUR YOUNG GRADUATES

Part-time Curriculum Writers/Consultants are needed to develop
lessons for elementary, middle and high school levels in (3) areas:
mathematics, reading and ELL. Resources developed will empower
teachers to use educational technology applications to enhance
instruction with struggling students. Primary responsibilities:
o conceive and write new effective lessons in one subject area (Math,
Reading, ELL)
o identify effective grade-level lessons from existing resources in
one subject area
o collect and edit lessons in one subject area, developed by teachers
and Teaching Matters educational consultants
