We are excited to invite you and your networks to Weaving Indigenous Futures: Learning in Action with the Ecuadorian Kichwa Community, a free, public workshop series hosted at the Ossining Public Library.

This interactive workshop will center Kichwa textile traditions as living systems of knowledge passed down through generations. Participants will learn about hand spinning, natural dyeing, and weaving, and explore how textile practices function as pillars of Andean spirituality, wellbeing, and intergenerational healing.

 Cost: Free and open to the public
 Language: Spanish with English translation

Nos complace invitarles a ustedes y a sus comunidades a Tejiendo Futuros Indígenas: Aprendizaje en Acción con la Comunidad Kichwa Ecuatoriana, una serie de talleres comunitarios gratuitos y abiertos al público que se llevarán a cabo en la Biblioteca Pública de Ossining.

Este taller interactivo se centrará en las tradiciones textiles kichwa como sistemas vivos de conocimiento transmitidos de generación en generación. Las y los participantes aprenderán sobre el hilado a mano, el teñido natural y el tejido, y explorarán cómo estas prácticas textiles funcionan como pilares de la espiritualidad andina, el bienestar y la sanación intergeneracional.
