Shining a Light on Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse

December 12 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

From Rev. Kym:

I want to alert you all to a training being offered by My Sisters’ Place. The flyer is attached and you can also register here:

In this final installment of the Beacons of Hope Training Series, we will stand with survivors at the intersection of Domestic/Intimate Partner Violence and Religion. In this session, we will examine a history of violence connected to and addressed by religious systems, identify how tenets of love and forgiveness have been weaponized against survivors by religious systems and abusive partners, and offer strategies for supporting clients in reclaiming those tenets as a source of their strength, power and liberation.

Please join and share with your networks.

Peace,
