HUDSON VALLEY SALLY & FRIENDS
will be at the Walkabout Clearwater Coffeehouse
on Saturday, November 9.
Hudson Valley Sally has been singing together as a group since 2012. They originally met as members of the Walkabout Clearwater Chorus. Hudson Valley Sally currently consists of David Tarlo, Terry Colliton, and Laurie Siegel.
· David Tarlo was a founding member (with Caryl Towner and David Bernz) of the group Stone Soup who performed at concerts and many union and activist events. They produced the highly regarded CD River of Life.
· Terry Colliton has been singing in school and church choirs since childhood and had her first major performance at Kennedy Center when she was in the fifth grade. Terry now also sings with the Stonewall Chorale, the Nation’s first LBGTQ+ choir. An educator and activist, Terry finds joy in any action that might make the world a more welcoming place for everyone.
· Laurie Siegel, when not Sally-ing, performs as a duo with her partner, Patrick Stanfield Jones and in a trio with Karen Brooks and Melissa Ortquist known as the Trouble Sisters.
Ruben Gonzalez is originally from Argentina. He performs his own idiosyncratic world-beat compositions inviting audiences to listen, to move, to sing along, and to think.
Mario Cancel-Bigay is an ethnomusicologist, singer-songwriter, poet, translator and an expert on the Puerto Rican cuatro, the country’s national guitar.
Patrick Stanfield Jones performs music that is a mix of rock,
jazz, folk, and
blues. He has recorded on more than 20 albums and has worked with, among others, the Isley Brothers, Gene Clark of the Byrds, Imelda Staunton, Whitney Houston, and Buddy Miles.
The evening will begin with the Coffeehouse’s popular
