About the Book:

In The Sing Sing Files, Dan Slepian recounts his two-decade journey investigating wrongful convictions, beginning with a tip from a Bronx homicide detective in 2002. This investigation led to the exoneration of two men wrongfully imprisoned for a 1990 murder and sparked a broader exploration into the systemic flaws of the justice system. The book details Slepian’s relentless pursuit of justice, which resulted in the freedom of six innocent men, and highlights his deep friendship with JJ Velazquez, who assisted in the investigations from his cell until his release in 2021.
