Panelists include:
Rabbi Douglas E. Krantz is the Rabbi of Congregation B’nai Yisrael in Armonk. The Rabbi has made efforts to reach out to African Americans and to Arab Americans, as an integral part of teaching Jewish values and how they are lived out in the context of our larger community. Rabbi Krantz has identified himself with the causes of social justice and with the institutions which work for the promotion of civil rights and peace in both the United States and in Israel.
Bob Miller is a retired Chemical Engineer who has lived in Chappaqua since 1972. He is a member of the Beth Tora Synagogue in Mt. Kisco but also contributes to the Congregation of Rawat Orah in New York City. He has visited Israel twice once before and once after the 1967 war. He is very fond of reading Jewish History and is an active member of the Great Decisions group of the Chappaqua Library.
Dr. Suzanne Ross is a Clinical Psychologist. She spent WWII escaping the Nazis, two thirds of her family were murdered in the Nazi Holocaust. She speaks Hebrew and Yiddish and has lived on a kibbutz in Israel. Both her parents are buried in Israel. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Free Mumia Abu Jamal Coalition, NYC.
Alan Levin is a licensed psychotherapist since 1985. His studies and teaching have included meditation practices for over 35 years. In 1990, he founded Holos Institute, a California non-profit corporation, www.holosinstitute.net, in which he trained and supervised intern therapists focusing on bringing together spirituality and psychology and the study of ecopsychology.
